Worcester Warriors have trimmed their playing staff by allowing surplus backs Ignacio Mieres and James Stephenson to leave after two years with the club.

Argentine stand-off Mieres, 28, came in from Exeter Chiefs as Andy Goode’s replacement in the summer of 2013.

But, after being part of the team relegated from the Premiership, he lost his place as first-choice number 10 following the arrival of Ryan Lamb.

Winger Stephenson, 25, was also signed in the summer of 2013 from Bedford.
