“You can take it as a given that he will finish his career with maybe one, or possibly two seasons back in the red white and blue of the Roosters from 2017,” Rugby League Week has reported.

Williams is currently preparing for his latest code switch with the All Blacks Sevens at the Rio Olympics next year and was this week spotted at dinner with Roosters boss Nick Politis and coach Trent Robinson in Sydney.

Williams spent the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Roosters, helping them win the 2013 grand final over Manly. Earlier this year he was part of the All Blacks side that won the 2015 Rugby Union World Cup, defending the trophy he also won in 2011.
